To send you street-sweeping alerts we collect your email address, the street address you register, and the map location we derive from it so we can match you to your block. If you turn on text alerts, we also store your mobile number, your alert preference, and timestamps of your consent and any opt-out. If you answer our sign-check question ("does the sign on your block agree?"), we store that answer tied to your block. If you buy the season pass, Stripe stores your payment details and shares a customer reference and a record of your payment with us. If an address can't be matched automatically, we keep your email and that address in a review queue until we resolve it. If you text us something we don't recognise as STOP or START, we keep that message and your number in a review queue too, so a person can read it and act on it. We also record when you cancel or delete your alerts, and when your email bounces or is marked as spam, so we stop sending to it.
We use your information for exactly one product: telling you about the posted street-sweeping restriction on the blocks you choose. Emails are delivered by Postmark; texts are delivered by Twilio; payments are processed by Stripe. Each receives only what it needs: your address for email, your number for texts, your payment details for checkout, and message content. Our schedule data comes from Denver Open Data.
We will never sell your individual data — not your address, not your email, not your phone number, not your feedback — to anyone. If we ever publish or share statistics, they are aggregates only (for example, "how many subscribers a neighborhood has"), never anything traceable to you or your address.
Text alerts are strictly opt-in: you provide your number and check an unchecked consent box, and we record when you did. Reply STOP to any text to opt out immediately; reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies with your block's schedule; message and data rates may apply. We never text anyone who hasn't opted in, and STOP always wins.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with, sold to, or rented to any third party. Your phone number is disclosed only to our messaging delivery provider (Twilio), solely to deliver the alerts you asked for.
We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics (Plausible) to count page visits and basic, non-personal events (for example, whether a signup succeeded). There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and no fingerprinting, and no event ever includes your contact details, address, or other personal information.
Email hello@broomsday.com at any time to see, correct, or delete everything we hold about you. Deleting your subscription deletes your addresses, phone number, and feedback with it.
